      Jesse is not capable of changing his system up. He is a system coach that has always run one system and preached the merits of pressing physical soccer. He's more of an inspirational coach than a tactical coach, and while his game management is better than Berhalter, his game plans and tactical understanding are not. As I feared, Salzburg wasn't much of a teaching experience beyond helping him learn to coach in multiple languages, and he's lost at the Bundesliga level.

      Beyond that, since all the youtube soccer creators seem to be on the same wavelength here, does this weekends performance make you feel that the player pool is real or does it feel disappointing? And if it feels disappointing even though this sort of week is more common than the weeks we have a lot exciting to talk about, just maybe you hyped up these young players a little more than was healthy.

      He might not even be on the USMNT radar, but still it’s worth mentioning Ian Harkes (every bit as dashingly handsome as his legendary father) scored the only goal in the Dundee derby this weekend.

      Just had your channel recommended by a friend, keep it up bro. Hope you can keep your independent analysis and opinions, need more of that outside the MLS/USSF bubble.

      Dest looked pretty decent today, started at RB but was moved to LB for the second half as Barcelona changed up tactics to salvage the draw. Decent showing, lost possession a few times trying a few take-ons but was lively. Showed his versatility switching sides.

      Dest played a full 90 on Monday. Barca’s play style right now is…not pretty. Lots of times they just give the ball to Dest and expect him to do something and send in a cross. Which he did, several times. I think he had to defend like twice the entire game because Granada scored early and sat back the rest of the game. Dest switched from right to left back after Balde came off with an injury in the 40th minute. Dest was fine, there’s not really much more he could’ve done imo, Barca would give him the ball and then give him no support and flood the box, expecting a cross. It was not a good game to showcase his talents. He was fine

      That second yellow card in two games ban thing has always been nuts to me… Could you imagine if racking up run of play fouls could get you banned for another game in other sports? Like you foul out in NBA and yo it banned the NEXT game as well? Or you’d get too many holding calls or pi’s and you get banned for a game in football? We aren’t talking about egregious or violent shit. Just run of play fouls. Fouls that could be accidents or even tactical fouls… It doesn’t make sense imo. Also I don’t really think you shouldn’t be allowed to replace a player who gets two yellows or a red in game. Like they should “foul out” but you should be able to replace them. It affects the game too much just because someone got a couple of yellows.
      Re-designing the whole sport here… lol.
