Pellistri was extremely bright and direct when he came on showing signs of being that old fashioned winger we’ve been missing as he seems to offer something different to our other right wingers. Has he made a statement & does he deserve more of a chance? Here’s 5 things we learned watching Man United beat Real Betis 4-1 in the Europa League.

Pellistri is a talent
Weghorst is a team player
The fact Weghorst gets into so many goal scoring positions only highlights his lack of finishing, but at least he's getting into them positions. Just needs to be a bit more clinical and he'll be golden
My eyes teared up when i saw Woutje score and his celebration
m..
Dont listen to the noise we're going in the right direction with 2 or 3 quality signings we'll be even closer to where we want to be!
Bruno is not level headed to keep doing what he does best
Watching him play sometimes is so frustrating
He needs competition in that position TBH
If we come 3rd in the Prem and win the Europa League and the FA Cup and City don't win the champions League, would you say we would have had the best season in England?
I belive Weghorst problem has to do a bit with how tall he is overall and where to hit the ball without having to slip into a shot
On the Bruno topic- I do believe he is the best Captain for us this season. I do not believe he is a great captain and should be next year. That being said it is simply not any of us fans decision to make and I respect that. But for me it is easy to be a captain when the team is winning. But when we’re losing control of the game entirely and starting to get routed like on Sunday- that is when I see Bruno losing the plot. A captain needs to try to keep the squad calm and together in those moments and Bruno is the first to lose his shit. That being said, you have to respect the manager and the squads decision to name the captains whoever they deem to be the best fit.
Give Weghorst time for Benni McCarthy to work his magic😉😅 Was so happy for Wout, he celebrated the way I would've! 💪
Instead of hammering Antony – get behind him, guys, he's 22 and in a new league. It's not his fault that much was spent on him – why not be grateful we have two different options off the right? Pep would love Antony, because he's very good at passing, has great technique and quick feet. He's decent in a non-direct possession based team. Pellestri is the more direct and to the throat option.
It's good we've got those two on the right, and Rashford and Garnacho on the left, with Sancho as a further option.
Low on strikers, but stacked out wide.
We should keep Wout as the second striker next season. Of course you want someone who is deadly and clinical in front off the goal, but Weghorst up front kinda makes our forwards take on different roles. Of course Weghorst tries to get his goals but i feel like when he's up front, he is the one usually passing our wingers into good positions or pulling the opponents defenders out of theirs so that our wingers can use that space to score. It's not a coincidence that we've been scoring so much with Weghorst in the team, even though those goals didnt come directly from him.
If, according to widely held sentiment Rashford has benefitted from Benni McCarthy's coaching can't the same be done for Weghorst?
Do we need a dead ball coach because the trend with those is woeful if we're being fully honest?
We got to find an effective way of bringing Pellestri, Garnacho and the other youths on.
what aspect ratio is this ste? out of interest
We need more wins so that Ste can say "Anfield on Sunday without gritting his teeth😅
Steve you must of been on the Piss when Uruguay played in the World Cup as Pelistri was their brightest spark.
Steve absolutely buzzing with the pelliestri comments. He is an old fashion winger. Head down straight to the bye line.
Glad you gave shout-outs to Pellistri and Weghorst.
I love Wout…. he will score a few now he’s broken his OT duck!
Bruno MOTM
Bruno as an 8 looked really good. I don’t think he is a great 10. Also side note Antoney had better end product when he played on the left. Still not convinced by him
hahaaha Quality
Whoa!👀…you were actually right about the xG of the Real Betis game vs. The Liverpool game. Liverpool WERE freakishly efficient!
Bruno is idiot don't know why you put your hope on such weak character.
Work 🐎 needs to go on a 1 week retreat with Ben Mc to sharpen his goal scoring.
Idk man Pellistri looked like Uruguay’s best player. Created really good chances that never found the back of the net.
Guys, being an inpactfull sub, playing against tired players, isn't groundbreaking, antony used to do that with raphinha for Brazil and rodrygo did it for real Madrid last champions league, that doesn't mean they deserve a ballon dor 🤣
The lads played well last night,Weghorst’s joy was straight off the school playground, great to watch,Anthony scored a wonder goal but I still find him very frustrating to watch,he seems to have one trick,is COMPLETELY one footed,I’d like to see Pellestri play more he’s a more orthodox winger who contributes more to the team.
is Wout our new John OShea?
Twist in the tale wout signs for united in the summer works with Benny Mccarthy and bangs in 30 goals next season 🤣
Bruno doesn't like being played on the left.
How are we gonna keep all these players? we have Amad out on loan as well!!
In Uruguay it is excellent, the last 7 qualifying games were key to go to the WC and with a new manager in hand that made him the starter, all Pellestri did was give us the necessary points. In the World Cup he did not shine, because of the coach and his ideas, but it has nothing to do with his performance, even Valverde or Darwin they didn't shine so bright. That was Alonso faul nothing more.
I think the whole fatigue thing is being given too much weight at the moment. When you go through the team it's only really Bruno, Rashford, and Weghorst that have played virtually every game lately. Dalot and AWB have rotated. Varane and Martinez have had a rest here and there. Same goes for Shaw. Casemiro's missed 4 of the last 6 league games through suspension. Fred has had a day off here and there. Now that Martial is back fit Weghorst will have PLENTY of opportunity for rest going forward. That's assuming Martial can stay fit of course. Considering we have a chance to rest some more next Thursday and then after Fulham we don't have another game for two weeks, we should have everybody well rested and ready for the run in when we play Newcastle on the 2nd of April. From then on it really will be balls to the wall.
Yes I ud have played the same players who started gaingst liverpool
1:24 love him but what position/role does the horse play? He's a non goal scoring striker, he's a not great passing range cam/cf, he's a not great at headers big man. Fuck a false 9 were playing with a false god lol😂
On Weghorst: his finishing wasn't bad in the Betis game, he scored a good goal within minutes but Fred was offside and his other shots were mostly blocked, it's his speed that is the real problem rather than his finishing, he gives defenders an extra second to get back and block his shots because he's so slow, happened multiple times! He only missed the 1 big chance which he was offside for. Also his passion wasn't because he scored for United, it's because he scored full stop lol he's been getting a lot of stick and you could see the weight come off his shoulders when he finally got his goal
If we can hang onto them…. imagine Garnacho off the left and Pellistri on the right in the future!
Antony UNABLE to dribble past player's… Pelestri hold my coat..
Wout has given his all for the club and we would not have had as much success without him but in the summer there will be a lot of options that will be too good to turn down.
Ste, if Benni works with the "Horse" we might get that quality you speak of. I was so happy for the lad to finally get on the sheet at OT.
Is it’s just me that thinks Rashfords all round play in most games is average. But he can’t spot scoring. What happens when that stops? and it will.
Did anyone see the camera footage on how pleased the snake Maguire looked at Uniteds 7-0 loss? His agents then plant the story of PSG 'interest'… seriously, the number of snakes there are in this team is amazing. I hope that guy gets the boot.
If Wout stays, he gets a bunch more time with Benni. Tell me how that's a bad thing.
Somebody help wout with his finishing pleeeeeeaaaaaseeee……
