Marcus Rashford is enjoying the most productive season of his career. After 24 games he had already broken his own record of goals scored in a season. But how much is this turnaround in the Manchester United attacker’s fortunes down to his own improvement? And how much is it down to his manager?

Jon Mackenzie analyses the data and the tactics. Illustrated by Marco Bevilacqua.

  1. He's shining now penaldo left.
Apart from the Liverpool game all of the United players have been better since his departure.

  2. He tried with his best even on his bad days. I liked Martial more and I believe both have same level of skills. But rashford had stronger mentality which made him stand out better than Martial and other players.

  3. Because Wout Weghorst is basically doing all the dirty work up front, which leaves Rashford with the time and space to be more dangerous in front of goal.

  4. he's doing what he's good at again, back to basics……. I also feel like he has been playing hurt for a few years and now that is cleared up

  5. ronaldo was criticized for not pressing from the front. rashford also does not press from the front but nobody complains. just imagine how lethal ronaldo would have been if given rashford's position today.

  6. Im so glad this video wasn't posted 2 days ago or we'd all know what the comments would be filled with 🙄🙄

  7. Please keep this same voice for narrating the video and the dude is asking for a new big contract he will revert back to default after they give it to him which is scoring only 15 goals a season in all competitions you’ll see

  8. Eventually I see a video that mentions the power of 'baiting'. The classic Barcelona side with Iniesta etc were brilliant at this. Bringing players in and then passing the ball. They weren't just passing to open players, they were using passes to draw in and beat players. And those players were great with close control so the opposition was getting beaten with press resistance and clever close footwork before the next logical pass.

  9. PR obsessed, overated stat padding Walcott 2.0. he's enjoying a decent run of form but let's be honest, we ain't winning the major comps with this lad. Simply ain't an elite attacker.

  10. The best voice a want to hear on TIFO, please don't leave us again or atleast teach others to have your voice because I will be so bored listening to TIFO

  11. He’s 25 and has always been a streaky player. He’s just being Purple Patchford ant the moment and will probably return to average level fairly soon where you have a fast player with average touch and decent finishing.
