He just needs time to fit in the system. He is No. 9 that always want to run in behind but Liverpool’s No. 9 always needs to drop deep for linkup play and makes space for two wingers to come central. It makes sense for now to have him on th wing and Gakpo on false 9.

The amount of chaos he's got in him is beyond imagination. Sometimes he does literally everything correct except for scoring.
Said it all along this guys runs in to the channels is probably the best movement from a striker I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen him first hand in the napoli game early on and I was think Christ Darwin when gets going is going to be golden boot winner very often with the space and movement he can find himself in

Happy to see him performing well, but I have to say I’m really confused with the squad construction of this club. Diaz, Nunez, and Gakpo all signed within the last year, all left wingers. And sure maybe Klopp sees Gakpo as more of a false 9, but to me he’s the worst of the three, and he’s the least expensive of the three. So where does that leave one of Nunez and Diaz when everybody is fit?
