On today’s Explained, we’re addressing that rumours that PSG owners Qatar Sports Investments are interested in buying a share in a Premier League side. With Liverpool and Manchester United on the market, there are plenty of options, but Tottenham are the team currently in the crosshairs, especially as Daniel Levy seeks funds amid fan protests over Spurs’ lack of movement in the transfer market and unwillingness to back Antonio Conte. But what are QSI offering? Why are they moving now? And how could it change Tottenham?

Tottenham actually are one of the club that generate profit over debt, so it's a sensible investment since Sheikh Nasser already blew up money at PSG. so he want to put his money at Tottenham, so he can liquidate later on.
People say that spurs needing the QSI money to make them win trophies, are you forgetting that the same thing happened with city and they are now one of the best clubs in the world.
Make absolute sense that the owners of PSG want another club that never wins big trophies
I truly hope they won't buy a part of spurs, i would hate such a moral company and such dirty money to fund my club. I'd rather be clean then successful.
In order to compete with the big boys Spurs must get QSI involve in some sort of capacity. We need the oil money the get top players.
Psg owners need to buy Manchester United or ac milan
I don't understand why people are stupid they are preparing a exit strategy for psg
Tottenham will have to sell to richer owners if they want to compete.
How did redbull get away by entering 2 clubs in the UCL….sakzburg and liepzig
You got a lot of things wrong Tottenham are a sleeping giant and Tottenham are defiantly not a mid table team
Most of this is BS. QSI went to levy regarding the building of the TH Stadium. PSG are currently having issues with the ownership and expansion of PdP so went to Levy to discuss possible routes on building a new stadium as psg may be getting kicked out of the PdP.
I really hope this occurs
Welcome QSI as soon as you're ready. However, don't delay or you could miss the boat.
unless you are russian, then money cant take you places.. the english historical hate for Russia, the empire it couldnt bend and pervert is incredible
In terms of growth perspective, Spurs is actually a solid business choice for the Qataris. Spurs are in London and have very solid financials and minimum debt that isn't at a very favorable rate. Spurs have state of the art infrastructure and need the financial backing in order to take their brand (and winning ways) to the next level. Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea were clubs that were available for a full sale; which wouldn't be possible for QSI given that it owns PSG.
At some point we will be asking which teams they don't have stake in rather. Most if not all of the traditional top 6 are at least partially owned if I recall correctly
I really don't want Qatar anywhere near my club. It won't be my club for much longer if they buy a stake, after 38 years that would make me extremely sad but I'd rather support the Arse than have my clubs soul sold to an Arab state. And I really don't want to support the Arse.
Just finished my salt&vinegar hula hoops 🙁
A move from Midtable, been a while since we were mid in the table
