Curtis Jones is heading towards the summer with his Liverpool future still not fully settled.
The midfielder is under contract until 2027, but rumours of an early exit have been circulating all week and even as far back as January. Inter Milan showed interest during the winter window and have remained in the picture, with the likes of Spurs and Aston Villa also linked.
Jones would prefer to stay at Liverpool if he was promised a bigger role under Arne Slot. However, judging by the latest update, the Reds are yet to cave to those demands.

For now, the situation appears to be open. Jones is not being pushed out of Liverpool, but there is also nothing to suggest that a contract breakthrough is imminent.
Romano has now shared what he is hearing about the midfielder’s future in a recent YouTube video..
He reports: “Keep an eye on Curtis Jones, Liverpool midfielder, contract expiring in 2027. He was Inter’s main midfield target in the January window, alongside the wide positions, where no one ended up arriving, but Inter really pushed hard for him.
“They weren’t able to convince Liverpool, but the player had already shown openness to the Inter project. So there’s mutual interest that still exists heading into the summer. Now it will depend on how Liverpool value him and what price they set. As of now, late April, I’m not aware of any ongoing negotiations for a contract renewal.”
If Liverpool were actively trying to tie Jones down, this would feel like a very different situation. Instead, there appears to be a pause on the club’s side, or at least no sign that an agreement is close.

That does not mean Liverpool want to sell. It may simply mean they are still considering what Jones’ role looks like under Slot next season.
Still, with just over a year left on his deal at Anfield, this is not a situation the club can leave untouched for too long.
The most likely destination for Curtis Jones
If Liverpool cannot offer him a more defined place in the team, there would certainly be no shortage of clubs looking at him.
Inter are the most prevalent name at this stage. Romano added: “He’s absolutely a name to keep in mind for an Inter side that is heading into a summer of change in midfield, depending on what happens with players like Mkhitaryan, Frattesi, and others.”
Liverpool have decisions to make all over the squad this summer. If funds are needed, then a homegrown midfielder with Premier League experience and an expiring contract becomes an obvious saleable asset.

At the same time, Jones has stepped up for Liverpool lately, showing he still has enough quality to make this a very difficult summer decision.
