Everton‘s recent slump in Premier League form has seemingly not put the board off offering David Moyes a new contract.
Moyes has worked wonders in his first full season back on Merseyside, with relegation – as has been the case in recent campaigns – never a thought.
Instead, Everton have been looking up at the European places and looked good value to land one up until recently.
However, back-to-back losses against Liverpool and West Ham United have badly damaged those aspiriation.
Everton still have four matches to play, however, and it seems Moyes will still be rewarded for his achievements this season.

Alex Crook shares latest on new David Moyes contract at Everton
The Friedkin Group have been urged to award Moyes a new deal, with the Scotsman having a little over 12 months to run on his current contract.
Reports emerged last month suggesting fresh terms were close to being agreed, but things have gone quiet on that front in the weeks since.

However, Alex Crook reports via talkSPORT that “David Moyes will sign a new contact and rightly so”.
This is despite those back-to-back defeats, with the board clearly – and rightly – happy with Moyes’ work this campaign.
At this point, it seems the most likely outcome is Moyes’s new deal being announced once Everton’s campaign has concluded in a few weeks’ time.

Moyes is reported to currently be on a salary of around £5million a year, which will likely rise once he puts pen to paper.
Where does Moyes rank among longest current serving Premier League managers?
Moyes took charge of his 750th Premier League match last weekend, with plenty of those coming while Everton boss.
In his second stint alone, he has been in charge of Everton for one year and 104 days, so he is some way down the list in terms of current longest serving Premier League managers.
That is a list topped by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, although there are doubts over his future beyond this summer.
Mikel Arteta, Marco Silva and Eddie Howe are next on the list, although again the latter two may be out of a job in weeks.
Unai Emery, Andoni Iraola (for now) and Daniel Farke are also above Moyes, as are Arne Slot and Regis Le Bris.

Given the likely changes in the Premier League before next season, though, the Scotsman will more than likely take a big leap in that list.
And with a new deal set to be signed, it will not be long – fingers crossed – before he is near the top of the standings once again.
