A man was previously arrested on suspicion of murdering 53-year-old Stephen Taylor, but he has since been released under investigation.
Area coroner for Dorset, Brendan Allen, opened the inquest into the death of Stephen George Taylor at Dorset Coroner’s Court on April 28.
Coroner’s officer, Nicola Muller, said Mr Taylor was born in Farnborough on October 23, 1972.
He was living in Lakeside Road in Poole at the time of his death.

Police and paramedics were called to the road at around 6.45am on February 1 to reports of an unresponsive male.
Mr Taylor was taken to Poole General Hospital but his condition continued to decline and he died later that day.
A post-mortem examination was conducted by Dr Jenkins at Holly Tree Lodge Mortuary on February 3.
He found Mr Taylor’s medical cause of death to be hypoxic ischemic multi organ failure, out of hospital cardiac arrest (resuscitation), acute alcohol and cocaine misuse on a background of chronic substance misuse, fatty liver failure disease and obesity.
Mr Allen adjourned the inquest until October 7 at 10am and requested statements from Mr Taylor’s family, GP, the hospital, Dorset Police and any mental health, alcohol or drug treatment services if he was known to them.
