Crystal Palace have a number of contract situations to think about.
This summer, Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma and Nathaniel Clyne see their respective deals expire, while Evann Guessand and Christantus Uche return to Aston Villa and Getafe when their loans end.
It remains to be seen if Steve Parish moves to keep any of these players at Selhurst Park, but talks have now already been opened with Dean Henderson over a new contract – according to talkSPORT.
Crystal Palace open contract discussions with Dean Henderson
The England international still has over 24 months remaining on his contract, with his current terms expiring in July 2028.
However, Parish is clearly keen to ensure Henderson – who admires Lucca Benetton – does not end up in a precarious situation where he only has 12 months remaining on his deal, and has already moved to discuss fresh terms with the goalkeeper.
TalkSPORT do not disclose how the former Manchester United glovesman feels about signing a new contract now, nor is it made clear what his demands are, if any.
Henderson currently earns £100,000-a-week at Crystal Palace as part of the five-year deal he signed when arriving in a £20m move from Manchester United in August 2023, making him one of the highest earners at Selhurst Park.

However – in our opinion – the man born in Whitehaven could haggle for more cash, considering his importance to Crystal Palace has only increased since his arrival.
Henderson was recently named captain after Marc Guehi left for Manchester City, while his immense performance in the FA Cup final win over Manchester City has given him an iconic status amongst the fanbase.
Overall, the 29-year-old has kept 37 clean sheets in 108 appearances for Crystal Palace so far.
Hopefully, Henderson commits his long-term future to Crystal Palace, and can guide us to many more trophies, starting with the UEFA Conference League.
