amavi was the only one in that list who i rated, but even his career went of a cliff after 1 season

Christ, Sherwood was a crime against football.

I really thought Amavi was a baller.
He did very well when he went back to France too but then seemed to disappear.

Looking at that list, I would sack them both…oh wait…

I remember the Jordan transfer window, rated Veretout very highly and it looks like he had a solid career. Amavi as well, who knows what his ceiling was without his ACL tear his first year with us.
This was a rough time to be a Villain.

In sum, they were both shit đŸ˜‚
Amavi did show a lot of promise, and I think he could’ve gone on to be a success.

Jose Angel Crespo đŸ˜… jfc he was awful.

Veretout and Gana Gueye the only players who went on to any kind of success, Amavi was decent but got wrecked by injuries. Replacing Benteke with Gestede is one of the worst transfer manoeuvres in the club’s history.

Amavi, Idrissa Gueye, Veretout, Ayew and Traore went on to have good careers. All would have been more than adequate for a mid-table side at the time.
The problem was that we lost Benteke, Delph and Vlaar in that window.

Micah Richards man. Sherwood had a lot to answer for.

The two worst signings, Richards and Lescott, were Sherwood signings.

I had such high hopes for Jordan Amavi.

To this day I still hate Richard’s, and Ayew.
Only played for rh cheque and fucked off immediately when they took us down by playing absolutely fucking horribly.

Sherwood went for experienced pros and they let him down badly. Gana Gaye was a good spot given his later career but surrounded by some of the worst players to ever pull on a Villa shirt.
