GN can stfu. He’s in his position by virtue of being a very average player surrounded by outstanding others. Same as carragher. The dour northern schtick is outdated and needs to be moved on

Arsenal will be playing 2 league games before Man City play catch-up so the pressure will be on them assuming Arsenal win these 2 games.

I don’t understand why this comment even *needs* to be defended. Weird.

  4. Seems an incredibly weird thing to say when your team is top, and had a 3-point ushion (at that time). The best City could do (and did) is draw level on points.

Either he subconciously thinks it is over, or his teammates do – they are llistening to the noise.

The alternative is he is playing up for the cameras. He is quite performative, so it would not be a surprise.

This is one of the stupidest exchanges I’ve ever read. Rice is obviously rallying on the pitch in the immediate aftermath of an extremely difficult loss against their rivals. Neville needs a brain transplant.

I found it weird how wrighty was way way more positive after arsenal losing than he was the week before. I think there is some odd reflections on arsenals performance in that game. I dont think they were anywhere near the levels Brighton (either game), villa, newcastle etc played against City. I think they were okay, but to talk about it like some statement performance, when they lost in their most important game of this season is weird. Only arsenals chances get brought up, but none of the other city chances are

It was an odd podcast this week. Keane getting absolutely obsessed with the Martinelli thing, clearly in a bit of a mood for a while.

  7. The whole narrative has gone out of control at this point – a fixture of the team rallying the troops after a defeat shouldn’t need to be talked about and analysed for a straight week, least of all by a twat like Gary Neville.

Ok I’m a Spurs fan and a certified Arsenal hater. However, this has gotten way out of hand.

What the hell is Rice supposed to say? “Oh welp guys – we’re fucked”?

Clearly he’s trying to motivate his teammates and keep it going. Just don’t understand why people are clowning him for trying to be a leader.

I wish Arteta was reading these comments. He would have understood how hard it is to defend this team and the players. I feel like Arteta has made our banter era way too difficult now.

It’s actually advantage Arsenal still! They should win all 5 of their games and comfortably 4 of them couldn’t have been better fixtures with only West Ham away being difficult because they are fighting for survival! City still have to play us away, Villa and Brentford! Even if both win all 5, which I don’t think City will, Arsenal should end up with a better GD.

  11. Yeah it’s done. Arsenal are rattled. The City defeat was nail in the coffin. 2nd. Again.

  12. This season’s PL title will be down to Arsenal’s capability to close out the season, rather than City.

City hasn’t been convincing all season, including up to now. It really shows against Burnley.

We have a “title race” now all because Arsenal dropped unnecessary points at Bournemouth, Wolves & Forest.

Why do arsenal always feel the need to be so dramatic, i feel it is to their detriment.

  14. Some people really do lack common sense or basic sense of everything. How the fuck would Declan Rice knew the cameras were on him before he be saying those? They made like its some pre planned bullshit.

Also those were words of encouragement, not some racist bullshit that needs to be “caught” and criticized. It is really a nothing story. But owh “Arsenal” we must create some nonsense around it.
