Crysencio Summerville was in line for a big reward before Baroness Karren Brady’s departure – and it remains to be seen if West Ham United follow through with it.
While Summerville is still to get back to his best following a recent injury, there is no doubt that the Dutchman has played a key role in West Ham United’s revival.

Roma made an offer in January…
Nothing has been achieved yet, but the former Leeds star has helped the Hammers turn things around with five goals and one assist since mid-January.
As such, Brady wanted to offer him a new contract at the end of the season pending Premier League survival.
Brady wanted to give Summerville a new contract at West Ham
According to The Athletic, Brady was planning to reward Summerville for his fine form with a new deal.
Brady left West Ham after 16 years earlier this week but had lined up plans to take further control of the 24-year-old’s future – as long as the Irons stayed in the Premier League this season.
While Summerville will still have three years to run on his contract by the end of the season, it seems there was a plan in place to try and extend that further.

Though it is all dependent on Premier League survival, West Ham would be wise to try and execute Brady’s plan.

Whether he’s going to stay here in east London long-term is up for debate. What would make prudent financial sense if possible, however, is protecting their asset.
Summerville’s value must surely have skyrocketed in recent weeks. If the team stay in the Premier League, they need to act and take control of the situation.
Even if they end up selling him, a new deal would be wise.
