I literally commented this last night! They have the Cup Semi in a few days and they were guaranteed to lose with him, go and get JT or a Chelsea legend in for a few games and see if the boost works

He made sure to shake everyone of his staffs hands after the final whistle yesterday! He knew.

I saw somewhere that because he signed a 6.5 year contract he could be looking at as much as a Ā£20m payout! Honestly I’ll take the Chelsea job for 6 months if they want to piss money up the wall on someone who doesn’t have a clue šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜‚

What is the point of having these long contracts given out like candy to coaches at this point? They are seemingly totally meaningless.

And absolutely one with a brain is suprised by this and by the poor job he did.
He was never good enough to be hired in the first place,
and it’s a joke that he got the job.

A club like Chelsea need’s a manager of a different caliber.

Now, where’s all those not-brights that argued vehemently that Liam was hired for the long haul and that short term results were irrelevant.

Come on, own it and admit you’re a clown shoe!

    I’m not surprised at all.

It’s clear that Chelsea’s business model is buying up young boys to sell on for profit later; you can’t have a manager that ages them into men before they can be sold.

Sack a manager after 4 years, it’s the managers fault

Sack a manager after 4 months, it’s the club’s fault

Looks like the Chelsea hierarchy want a manager with a weak enough personality that they can control (ie Potter, Rosenior) but be a strong enough manager to control the players… and they don’t exist.

And they don’t like strong willed managers who can control the players, but then speak up when they see something wrong in the club.

Until they sort this conundrum out they’ll be going through managers every 6 months

Sad. Unlike most on here I believe he showed promise. It ended like I thought it would. He was a promising young coach, a bit like Potter, at a lower level. Hope he can resrrect his career somewhere else.

“part company” I see it as two words we’re part of a company….wait nevermind

  11. Best of luck to him, he seems like a good man when you pull away all the pressures of football

  12. Complete and utter poisoned chalice. The Clearlake ownership have completely destroyed the club imo.

Name me a single manger worth their salt, that is going to be able to get the awfully talented Delap and Garnacho firing?

Horrendous ownership and the only winner here is Liam. £24m for 5 months work.

That’s a real shame, I thought he would be bringing the LinkedIn vibes for a while yet.

    Oh well.

    (Let’s all laugh at Chelsea)

  14. When the third goal went in last night, the camera zoomed in on the owner pull out his phone and send a quick message. I imagined he was texting to say get this guy out of here.

Chelsea changing managers so quickly is starting to feel less like a football strategy and more like a loyalty‑card scheme — ā€œHire 10, get the 11th free,ā€ yet somehow the results still refuse to show up.

And that’s Ā£24m that must be paid to him right? My goodness what a retched ownership group.
