Hopefully “highest level” means UCL + titles. And not just “has managed some PL seasons”.

What a load of shit, who is such a manager that would want work under these conditions? I don’t trust them at all with future appointments

  3. Can’t wait for them to hire Hurtzler. The article already has excuses “it’s gonna be hard to find a top class manager”.

They’ll use the “we tried” excuse when they hire another nobody.

Who is there to bring. I think we need some like Conte with an iron fist. The nice guy figures seem to have made the lads lazy lasses. The one advantage of having young players is that they could run more which obviously we aren’t.

  5. “Telegraph Sport understands that Chelsea are ready to permanently replace Rosenior with a head coach who has experience at the highest level, should the 41-year-old leave his post.

But that might be easier said than done, with sources questioning which top-class manager would take the Chelsea job in the current circumstances.”

  6. – Discussions held at Cobham to decide whether to remove manager, with possible successor expected to require Premier League experience

    – Liam Rosenior’s position as Chelsea head coach is under threat with the club’s BlueCo owners already weighing up a change of direction.

    – But that might be easier said than done, with sources questioning which top-class manager would take the Chelsea job in the current circumstances.

    – Talks over whether Rosenior would remain in charge for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United were held at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Wednesday

    – Behdad Eghbali, the co-owner, was at the Amex Stadium to witness the shocking performance against Brighton

    – Sacking Rosenior now would probably require Chelsea to finish the season with an interim head coach, but waiting until the summer will only delay what now seems inevitable.

    – Telegraph Sport understands there have been discussions about a change of direction.

    – There is recognition that Chelsea cannot bring in another coaching team with no top-level experience and the search for Rosenior’s successor is expected to centre around finding a candidate who has proved they could cope with the demands of a big club and the Premier League.

    – Xabi Alonso, former Real Madrid manager, is out of work, while Andoni Iraola has announced he will leave Bournemouth

    – But sources believe Chelsea’s collaborative approach, together with the increasing possibility of not qualifying for the Champions League, will make BlueCo’s search for their perfect man difficult.

    – Which top manager is going to want the Chelsea job under the current circumstances?” one source said. “It’s not going to be easy.”

Headcoach with experience at highest level = Gary O Neil managing in the premier league. Nice try Blue Co.

But….but…. I was told there is no statistical relationship between managers and results? 🙁

  9. Winstanely and Stewart have to go with him. The longer they’re here, the longer we’re awful.

Already screaming red flag when they’re still adamant on using the same “head coach” terminology – let’s not get our hopes up. Nothing will change. Even if we do get an actual proper manager in, they will be gone by next January for the same reasons Maresca resigned.

Breaking records that even Potter didn’t manage to break, and not in a good way.

The turn around in media briefs in what ? 7 days ? Is so funny

I thought the board wasn’t interested in reviewing his position no matter what until summer 2027

I feel bad for Rosenior. I think he’s actually put the team in position to win in many instances and they’ve bottled their opportunities. There’s obviously space for growth, but he was set up to fail and I don’t think he’s actually as bad as the results have been. The insane run of injuries has only made things more difficult tbh.

I think they have to replace him after yesterday, but I also think the results are not indicative of the process.

You give Xabi Alonso enough money and he will come. My guess is that we end up with the Porto manager Farioli, who I think is actually really good

  15. What do we say about Filipe Luis? He has done really well in his short career so far.

Preferably someone who is available to start immediately. Could do worse than Southgate imo.

cesc or xabi would be great picks, but lets be honest cesc has a great thing going with como and xabi got the bullet over pre madonnas in madrid so he probably wouldnt want within an asses roar of our dressng room and neither would be interested in a team not in europe either.

julian naglesmann after the world cup maybe?

i mean fuck it if all the owners want is another yes man then ill do it with my uefa b licence, will probably need 1 or 2 of you for backroom staff if your interested

lmao i pity everyone in this thread coping it’ll be Alsonso, Fab or an actual proven manager. it’ll be O’Neill or Iraola or another PL mid-low table manager

Hope he takes Stewart and Winstanley with him and we slam the door on the jokes.

I feel for Rosenior because he could have stayed at Strasbourg and farmed the farmers league, he’s not at prem level yet.

The other two can fuck off. They’re just shit.
