Dosnt mean anything when Slot refuses to use youth. Hes only starting to use Rio when the season is about to end.
This manager is doom for every academy player.

About damn time, he has looked good every time he has played in the first team. He really needs to be given the change to step up into our midfield. Might be a chance he saves us a fair bit of mone in the summer

A bunch of delusional posters here.
Great for him to be on the way to recovering but he’s not anywhere near the level required. People are shitting on MacAllister. This kid is 5 levels below Mac. Landing at a Championship club this summer would be a real achievement.

Better than Nyoni by a mile too – hope he gets a chance

He was the youth midfielder I was most excited for (even more than Nyoni or Morton). Really calm and composed, have some concerns around his athleticism but hope to see him play more to see if that’s improved at all.

To decide that a young player isn’t good enough when he hasn’t gotten a lot of playing time with a first team, is crazy to me. Everybody has a different ceiling and potential. Not everyone grows at the same speed. Nobody is saying that a young player has to start or even get major minutes right away. But he has to get consistent minutes to learn how to play against grown men. If Rio had been playing more minutes this season, he would have more than one goal by now. We’ve seen him spin defenders like a top. If he keeps it up, he’s a solid first team player in a couple years, if not here (which I hope he is here) somewhere else. How many players have left their home clubs because they weren’t “good enough,” only to have great careers somewhere else after they got the time to develop fully? Sometimes our expectations of their trajectory is unrealistic.
