**Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni has emerged as one of the international midfielders Manchester United are monitoring as they look to address their priority position this summer**

Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba of Brighton and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton are three players who have been mentioned regularly. They have the Premier League experience that has proved so successful this term through the arrivals of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

However, doubts have been cast over Wharton’s suitability as his playing profile is similar to that of Kobbie Mainoo, who is close to agreeing terms over a lucrative contract extension.

United are also looking overseas and, among a number of players, Tchouameni is one of those on their radar.

The 26-year-old’s contract is not due to expire until 2028 and Real are reportedly keen on extending that.

**However, in what promises to be a summer of change at the Bernabeu following a disappointing campaign that looks certain to see them end without a trophy, they could be open to a sizeable offer**

United were interested in Tchouameni when he left Monaco in 2022, but the player opted to join Real, where he has become one of the most effective midfield players in the world

  2. Can also cover for CB roles when De Ligt and Licha are out for 6-8 months next season!

Edit : I would never wish an injury to any professional athlete or human being. Sadly that’s the way De Ligt and Licha are built and we miss them for major parts in each season

  3. Just like the last DM we signed from Real, don’t see this happening

Just like the last time, I hope im wrong

They’re gonna want over 100m for him. Can’t see us doing that this summer when we need more than one midfielder

  5. Well would be stupid if they wouldn’t, but also it won’t happen. You observe the market and you take advantage of potential deals that you can make. But since united is like 95% in the CL, these kind of rumours will be daily as apparently now they can afford anyone.

  6. I’d love him.

My only worry would be the cost and the wages would presumably be massive.

Can’t see it unfortunately but he’s a level above someone like Baleba or Joao Gomes.

If Madrid want rid of somebody they either have some underlying injury/condition or they need funds to buy a new shiny toy.

It feels like this rumour benefits everyone, Tchouameni wants a new contract from Madrid so United are used as a way to get him the max while United don’t want to pay extortionate fees for Anderson and Baleba so rumours of us putting the money towards an “established” star can help to lower the leverage these teams think they have.

Oh man, there’s been a formal briefing sent out. The interest is concrete and they’re going to try to get him.

If we don’t get Tchouameni I think we’re screwed. Anderson is going to City, and Fernandes from West Ham is being linked with PSG.

That leaves us with Tchouameni and Tonali?
