I mean the guys who refuse to give him any credit for any match won or any trophy he might win. So Inzaghi wasn’t able to win the league with this team and was considered a failure, but now if someone comes in and actually achieves that, it’s still not good enough?

I’m talking about those guys who hate on every single post — that ketamina guy, poono, and a few others. Every match, not even 10 minutes have passed and they already start with: “Chivu is to blame because the team didn’t score,” “Chivu is to blame because player X missed,” “Chivu is to blame because we conceded.” Like seriously?

And these are the same people crying over Inzaghi. Come on, let’s be serious. You can’t cry over a guy who, even if he did a lot for the club, ran away for money in Saudi Arabia when the team needed him most. You can’t say HE has to be the coach — he could’ve still been here this season if he wasn’t a coward chasing money.

Chivu deserves ALL the credit for lifting this team mentally and making them enjoy football again. Yes, he got eliminated by Bodo/Glimt, it happens. Napoli, the Italian champions, weren’t even capable of getting past the group . Napoli got beaten by Copenhagen, Juventus were humiliated by Galatasaray, even if they almost made a comeback in the second leg.

But of course, people don’t see it as failure when Conte does it, because they say he was focusing on the league. Which really translates to: “How can we criticize our Italian coaches like Conte and Allegri?” And Allegri is another guy who has been a total failure when it comes to Milan’s style of play. You can’t play anti-football against Verona or against relegation-level teams.

Where do these expectations even come from? Are there really people who expect this team to perform well in the Champions League every single year when this team has literally been making signings at the level of Premier League relegation sides?

This year we invested on the same level as teams fighting relegation in the Premier League, yet people still have absurd expectations. What Inzaghi achieved was a bigger accomplishment than the squad itself would suggest. That doesn’t mean Inter are on the level of Bayern, Real Madrid, Man City, or PSG. I could easily name another 5 or 6 teams in Europe that are above us both financially and in squad quality.

Yes, we shouldn’t have been eliminated by Bodo. We were too confident that we would turn it around, and we didn’t. But you have to be an idiot to judge a manager based on two matches when that same manager already brought you a league title and could still bring you the cup as well.

i don’t know about in here, but when it comes to the media it is definitely a consequence of the fact that the italian journos would rather defend the (geriatric) italian coaches

  2. We had inzaghi out fanboys in his first season. I guess people expects a manager to succeed in the first three months without giving the chance to grow.

Replace Chivu with Inzaghi this season and ask them what they think about where we are right now.

This is an INCREDIBLE season for us after last season, idgaf about exiting the CL early (Conte does it every time, but when he does it it’s because “that’s his style”)

I never in a million years thought we’d be in a position to win the Scudetto in April and in the Coppa final last June.

I’m just not not fooled with his performances. I would love for him to do great and everything to turn out well but this feels like an Arne Slot Liverpool situation

Even some Romanian speak bad about him, so , is not about he is not Italian . It’s about some idiots

It’s because he tells the truth. In Italy it’s not well seen this behaviour. You have to beat around the bush, be always “footballistic correct” with the press bla bla and also because he manages us, the most hated club in Italy.

UCL can be his target next year. If he gets us our #21 that is a major result. I certainly didn’t expect this. Was hoping for top 3. And thought we would have done a Napoli in CL.

Chivu is a ROMANIAN coach, with no relevant prior experience, coming into serie A and smashing it, winning the scudetto over other well established ITALIAN coaches.

If he were italian, you wouldnt hear the end of it in the media, even people requesting him to takeover the italian national team.

But he is a foreigner and, even worse, a Romanian. So they have to make drama arround him and instigate brainless people (some even on reddit) to hate on him.

Inter wins? It’s Inzaghi’s heritage, it’s the team that is good. Anything just dont recognize Chivu’s efforts.

Inter loses? Its the end of the world, Chivu is not ready, is inexperienced, inter needs a new coach (Diego Simeone?).

Then you create fake problem: “inter doesnt win big games” and use it all the time, even when inter is doing well. Eg: yes, inter wins the scudettto, but lost both derbies against Milan! They got eliminated from the UCL bu Bodo Glimt etc.

Its just as Chivu said, negativity sells, and whats more negative than a Romanian coming in your home (serie a) and be succesfull?

In 5-10 years Chivu will manage other top tier teams. You can quote me on that.

Who’s actually hating on Chivu? If our opponents or their media – it’s their job. If our own fans – it’s kids that are new to football. Nothing worth our attention.

Some people are hating on Arteta, yet he’s still fighting for 2 titles. Some people are hating on Allegri, yet Milan has 15 more points than last year.

Therefore, if you want to critique someone, you’ll always find arguments in your favour. We could argue that Chivu hasn’t won any big match, any derby, except for that Juventus match with the Bastoni incident (and what if Bastoni would get a red there and we would lose the match?). Yes, we beat Roma and Como several times, but no other, bigger teams in any competition.

As for me, I support Chivu. I think he’s doing a great job. But the player transfers by the board could’ve been a lot better.

  10. Only idiots would hate a coach, who is on his way to win the league and (maybe) the cup in his maiden big job, for not winning certain games. For these idiots, winning the league without doing double over Napoli, Bilan, Rube… is shameful 😂.

Chivu is doing an exceptional job with a crumbling squad left behind by that ONE GUY chasing the blood money. He is a treble hero cracking his skull for Inter, he is more Interista than any of us randos on this sub. Chivu is a lot smarter than you take him for. How the fuck can you hate such a guy?

  11. Il-Capitano14 on

I “hate” on him because IMO hes not even close to being good enough.

Winning something in the poorest Italy of football in history doesnt prove anything, CL is where you show your value and he got our butt destroyed by freaking Bodo Glimt

  12. Glad-Composer-4740 on

You have no idea bow hard people are bashing Chivu in Romania also…but let me tell you this, i don’t fraggin care about what ppl are saying, what media is saying, “sport journalists”, i don’t care…i fraggin love Chivu since i was a kid and i love Inter since i was a kid too (wich was like 25+ years) and i will continue to do so till the end of time!

  13. Chivu deserves a lot of credits for working on the psychological aspect of the team, and thats a massive reason why this season is going the way it is. That being said, there’s a lot to improve from a tactical standpoint from him and (I suspect more) from his staff. I’d be scared if this season’s results lead to a change in formation cause I don’t see how he’ll be able to actually improve the gameplan.

To whoever criticises him though, I suspect you weren’t around for Stramaccioni and Mazzarri.

  14. No , I’m sorry, we had a very weak start of the season. We lost nearly every big match (even in supercup) . A month ago the horizon was bleak. Then Milan and Napoli shot themselves in the foot multiple times and we are winning comfortably the League

  15. Christian_Potato on

Italian coaches get shit on too just to a lesser degree.

Allegri still gets glazed even though he has nothing ever since he left juve for the first time. It is weird how Allegri gets less stick for this season even though they only had one competition. Milanisti aren’t happy, but the media is rather hush.

Conte with Napoli crashing out straight from the league stage got shit on, no surprise, it’s Conte in Europe, but the narrative instantly switched to, now they can focus on winning the league.

Even Spaletti got off lightly with crashing out of UCL.

To me, this Chivu criticism is more of a targeting Inter situation. The media has never really favoured us anyway, so they put us down as much as they can.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in a hypothetical scenario we do get the double, instead of praise it will be criticism that why couldn’t they do better in the UCL
