Mfers were saying this is about our possesion-based tactics, but then look at City or Arsenal, fuck me

Ros is a joke but this is actually not ok more than half the squad needs to be shifted on in the summer

Has the difficulties of the CWC caught up with us?

Players getting outrun AND injured (hamstring) all the time is just diabolical

Its really not looking good.
So much could have been prevented if these clowns doubled down on the high of our cwc win.
I can kinda understand the comedown to an extent (although the last game was truly another level of abysmal – it is embarrassing to think 3-0 undersold brightons performance), again its clear regardless of manager the lack of true depth is hurting us

The core of our team have played two full seasons without a break. No wonder they can’t run and keep making basic errors and are picking up injuries
We were holding our own up to the PSG shitshow but now they just look fucked

During the Maresca era, this wasn’t really noticeable because, in 4/5 of games, we were tactically well prepared for them and we made up for it.
I don’t know the statistics, but in my opinion, it wasn’t as bad when Poch was the coach. Back then, there were more vibes than tactics and Cole Palmer FC, and it wasn’t noticeable either.
Liam didn’t prepare the right tactics for the match and he’s getting thoroughly outplayed in practically every game. The players have lost form, there’s no positive element. Even our best player this season, Caicedo, who has been having a phenomenal season, has played terribly in his last three or four matches. The match preparation is hopeless, and it’s clearly visible now; it was sad to watch.
1We give the players too much credit. I’ve thought many of the players were average for a while now. Enzo is overrated, but is still one of our better players.
Cucurella is good. Palmer has been injured, so I’ll give him leeway even if he’s been poor for a season and half. Neto is bang average.
Our left sided attackers are poor. Gittens may come good, but Garnacho doesn’t seem to have it. Lavia is good, but is often injured. Chalobah on his day is decent, but still not good enough for the level we aspire to.
Gusto is average. Fofana is clearly not up to the level we aspire to. The less said about Tosin and Badashile the better. Delap is terrible.
The only genuinely good players in our first team are:
Caicedo
Enzo
Cucurella
James
Palmer (if he finds his old form again)
Joao
Estevao (needs to improve)
James is never fit for long enough. Palmer is in such poor form it’s like playing with 10 men atm. So we have maybe 5 good players, and that’s if Enzo shows up consistently.

The cwc, along with virtually no pre season has affected us badly.

EDIT – TLDR – BLUECO OUT
Whilst I think this stat is shocking and indicative of a lack of effort out in by the team, I do wonder if there is some impact of the CWC in the summer, that as the tournament everyone was mentioning how it was going to impact the following season, we appear to be seeing an impact and it’s forgotten about.
That being said, the overarching problem is the business model and lack of leadership throughout the team (which I include the manager with) you throw a bunch of talented (in the most part) early 20 year old together and expect them to compete with ELITE players on a weekly basis, it’s going to come unstuck.
Our last significant success was overseen with a 38yr old Thiago Silva providing leadership and calm across a team which has been completely dissolved since.
The answer can’t always be ship off 8 players, bring in more and swap the manager (there is no elite managers available or anyone that would buy into this model) A manager that chooses the player and system rather than being spoon-fed isn’t going to happen, unfortunately.

Please dont sack him until 6th may, playing like this you’ll lose to Forest, which will help relegate spurs.
