If I were Inter, I will renew his contract for atleast 2 seasons no matter what he asks.
He is definitely worth his wages.

I can’t imagine he won’t decline next year but if we manage his minutes with young guys like Stankovic and Sucic I think he can still be crucial and the young players can learn from him.

  3. With his injuries being more and more common it makes sense to bring stankovic in. Hakan is a master at what he does and why wouldn’t we want stankovic to learn from that? He’d get the minutes too (knock on wood) knowing Hakan may miss a few games due to injury.

  4. For the millionth time, Stankovic is a mezzala, he would be a straight replacement for Frattesi/Mkhitaryan.

  5. Been saying it all year, just keep him for one more season until his contract runs out, then let him go to Gala since it’s been quite clear that that’s what he wants.

Stankovic will get one season to grow without too much pressure and hopefully he’ll prove to be starter material.

Im no club ceo genius, but I say just pay him. Same with Denzel. Weve let real ballers walk away in the past because of this “old players contract” gimmick.

For example, perisic literally walked away because we couldnt offer him 0.5 million more. The season after that we couldnt even compete for the scudetto because both of our starting wing backs were inexperienced. Only the year after that Dimash and Denz grew into the players we know today.

When the margins for a successful club are that thin, we need magic players like Hakan. Modric and Kroos started for real madrid until well into their 30s, because those kids couldnt even touch their class at that age still.
