I honestly was fearing some big club would offer insane money and take him, if he stays he will be the first manager after Pep to last at least 3 seasons and our first glimpse of a long term project in ages.

It’s all in the air to be honest but I see Kompany staying for Bayern at least 2-3 more seasons. He already bonded with his players for over 2 seasons and it would not feel right to leave just after getting all the silverware.
He also has a great relationship with the board and feels fully supported by it. Those 2 hours that the board talk with Pep if Kompany was the correct choice , is paying off more than big time.
After Flick (whose doing a spectacular job at Barca with that thin squad and full of teenagers) , it’s been tough with Tuchel and Nagglesmann that on paper they are great coaches but not the correct fits for Bayern. Kompany on the other hand was not a safe pick compare to the previous 2 , it was a big gamble that all parties ended up winning

Rummenigge hat ihn einen sehr sympathischen Nachbarn genannt und eine kleine Geschichte erzählt.
