we've been told about how the new ownership has got down the wage Bill in general by signing young players and not marquee signings. lol.

The funny thing is our wage bill hasn’t been reduced.  Our model actually pays out higher wages than any other big club.

We’d just rather sign 4 crap players on 80K a week than a genuine world class player who wants £200K

Which In the end just leads to us paying more to have 2 scrubs fighting for the position, one loaned out and the other in the bomb squad

  2. Just to play devils advocate here, they have significantly reduced what players are paid and the wage structure. They have just signed so many players that it they have created a new issue.

Yeah it’s all well and good reducing player wages per player but when we sign a bunch of players it not exactly reducing the wage bill, honestly thought the idea was refreshing at first but we’ve just traded a few good players on high wages for a lot of mostly average players on lower wages. Great way to reduce our wage bill /s

We had plenty of players on loan and Chilwell and Sterling eating up a huge chunk of it.

The way they handled the outgoing players was rather nice, they made some nice sales and since the Boehly window the salary structure was solid. I am all for criticising Blueco, but prefer to do it fairly – such posts feel like ragebait. “We had a bad wage to revenue ratio last season” (All while Villa had a worse one, but they’re execluded as they aren’t “top 6”).

  5. Since wages went down quiet a bit, its more about not good enough revenues … which we know of since … welp … stadium … nothing new here to be mad about.

  6. They wages of our best players is way lower than that of the likes of Man u and Arsenal.

Im all for slating the model but Boehly original strategy was way more damaging paying Sterling, Cucu and Koulibailly big wages

Caicedo , Palmer, Pedro, Enzo all of significantly less no?

Its the lack of big wages why we cant get the big signings to come, now we are complaining the opposite is true?

Sorry we need to be more consistent with our arguments here. If this ratio was lower the players would be even worse!

  7. Revenue is shit compared to big clubs

We make 150-300 Million less in revenue even compared with Arsenal, City, Liverpool,

Madrid, Barca and PSG, Bayern also 250 Million+ more

This is why we are screwed as a club unless we go back to winning PL and going deep in CL every year

Otherwise we are truly finished as an elite club forever
