I’m just so surprised how it occurred to no manager to try Mbappe on the left with GG/Jude or even Endrick(given how he’s performing) in the centre even for once. All because a certain someone will turn the club upside down if he plays one less minute.

In this video i found it pretty weird that he considered his failure in UCL even with stacked teams in UCL simply esoteric and intangible even after he acknowledged his faults. Even though the same faults have a direct hand in the failures with his previous team.
Also downplayed how toxic the psg dressing room got with him. They were literally called Hollywood fc at one point.
He also seems to downplay the consequences of his lack of workrate on both attacking and defensive phases of the game. His lack of positioning discipline and not improving as a number nine even after playing the position for years.
The way he disrupts the midfield and slows down the play is also severely being downplayed. This is a massive issue in a team that thrives on verticality and quick counters. His ball hogging is also detrimental to the team. Did not acknowledge our slump in form this month immediately after he came to the lineup.
I still agree that vini and Mbappe are incompatible and ik that between these two vini will be let go but the reason that he mentions is a reason i disagree with.

Lmao, you guys vini fans acting like Vini is some kind of one-of-a-kind all time players, but most of you don’t even attend games all of you watching everything through a TV screen. His opinion carries weight because i go to watch games in my city so i get why he saying this, because he’s actually there, seeing the full pitch in real time. Broadcasts only show what directors want, mainly to keep things entertaining, so you miss a lot defensive shape, off-ball movement, how players position themselves most of the game.
But of course, you don’t care about that you’re just being a fanboy who gets upset when you don’t like what he says. You’d probably even dismiss someone like Pérez if he said something you disagreed with and jump to calling him racist instead of actually engaging with the point.

I’m probably in the minority but If it comes down to Mbappe or Vinicius, it should be Vini, because at least we know for a fact that it can work with Belli and a decent striker, I’ve seen Mbappe stop mid run because Vitinha passed a ball to Messi, he’s less proven winner on a club level.

I might be wrong to say this but Vini is overall a better team player in the LW alone compared to Mbapee. Individually Mbapee is far better at scoring. But I see vini creating more chances and scoring (not at the same level as Mbapee) …… why not push vini RW and Mbapee LW we just need solid 9

From the times Kylian has played LW this season, I don’t see how he still considers him a LW. He has been poor in the few matches he has had at LW and more often than not the striker that gets subbed in or is starting with him, end up on the wings.
He basically has a free role where he goes where he pleases and everyone else has to adapt their positioning for him. Another issue is that the ball has to pass through him in any face of play wether that be him dropping down to midfield to collect the ball or dragging defenders to the LW which makes the attack extremely one dimensional and makes it harder for the midfielders like Valverde or Jude to commit to box crashing as there is not space at the edge of the box.
I just simply don’t see a way in which these issues can be solved, either the team plays entirely for Kylian and if he’s effectively shut out of a game they struggle to score, or the numbers are spread evenly where all attackers and midfielders get their chances making the attack less predictable.

Listen, two things can be true at once. Was Mbappe the player we needed, and did it throw the attack balance off? Yes, it did. Is it also true that Mbappe is a better player than Vini? Also true. This is the most pragmatic view you can have imo.
To throw some more points in the discussion, Vini does defend a little better than Mbappe; barely. But even in modern football, I think you can get away with at least 1 player not being the best defender (Mbappe) if he is good enough at attacking.

At the end of the day it’s the sheer numbers that count and Vini alone cannot be a pure number 1 option, cause he doesn’t have the neccessary output to be one, on top of his behavioral issues.
Out of 47 games played this season, Vinicius has only had a goal contribution in 21 of those, so 26 games without.
Out of 58 games played last season, Vinicius only had a goal contribution in 28 of those, so 30 games without.
Out of 39 games played in 23/24, Vinicius only had a goal contribution in 19 of those, so 20 games without.
Last 3 seasons, he has only had a goal contribution in 68 out of the 144 games played, for a 47% rate, which is not very good. He is a hot and cold player, either shows up or he doesn’t and this is an issue most of all in league games, where you have to consistently perform.
In the league
25/26 – only made a goal contribution in 12/30 appearances
24/25 – only made a goal contribution in 16/30 appearances
23/24 – only made a goal contribution in 12/26 appearances
22/23 – only made a goal contribution in 16/33 appearances
21/22 – only made a goal contribution in 19/35 appearances
That’s 75/154 since 21/22.
Won’t go past that as 21/22 is when he hit his stride and became another level. He will never be a clear number 1 attacking option at a team, and that has been shown in the past, even in 23/24 when it was Jude being the top scorer in the league.
Even his 23/24 UCL campaign only had him at 6 goals and 4 assist, far from his best.
He has yet to show conistent performance, his shooting has not improved, his dribbling has declined, and his behaviour has only gotten worse, culminating with the El Clasico incident and Xabi’s sacking.
It would be best for all parties if he moved on.
