I don’t buy this. A 16 year old winger has to be so far down the list when we should have such a busy summer ahead replacing some important positions

    >Edu can only leave Palmeiras in December 2027, when he turns 18

€40M for a 16 yo who cant come in for almost 2 years, sure.

Manchester United promised to send in the next few days an offer of 40 million euros (about R$ 235 million at the current price) for Eduardo Conceição, a 16-year-old jewel of Palmeiras.

    What happened?

UOL found out that the English club signaled to the player’s representatives the offer of 40 million between fixed and variable values. Several scouts from English clubs were eyeing Edu’s football during the South American under-17 – the Brazilian national team was in 3rd place and the boy scored two goals and gave two assists.

The player’s relay closed a partnership with businessman Giuliano Bertolucci last week, to facilitate connections with Europe. Bertoluucci is mainly known for his entry into the English market.

The alviverde direction wants an offer of 50 million euros (almost R$ 300 million) to beat the hammer on the athlete’s future.

Palmeiras has not yet received any official offer, but knows that the player already has several interested in the ball market. PSG, Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City signaled interest to the player’s staff

Edu can only leave Palmeiras in December 2027, when he turns 18.

Palmeiras confirms that, even before signing his first professional contract, Eduardo was already drawing the attention of the main teams in Europe, and received contacts for the boy.

After the highlight in Copinha, Edu signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras until January 2029. The release clause for football clubs abroad is 100 million euros

  4. Apparently he’s more talented than Estevao, we should absolutely be looking at this.

First time I’ve heard of Eduardo Conceicao was a couple days ago and I don’t mean this as an overreaction… but imagine if Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had a child together — it would be Conceicao.

I’d be surprised if we did go for it but I’d be happy, even though I’ve never seen the lad play.

The reason is because this is the foresight top, efficient clubs need. In 5 years Mbeumo and Cunha will be in their 30s, Bruno won’t be here. The attack will need reinforcements and if we can structure a payment in our favour now then it’s a risky, put potentially great deal

this has chelsea written all over it. unless the lad is somehow neymar level of talent we wouldnt be anywhere near that for a 16yo

  8. Won’t comment about the source. High risk high reward signing. Unless this kid has some Neymar, Vini, Rodrygo potential we shouldn’t spend that much for an unknown kid from brazil.

Naaah, we cannot spend that much money on a 16 year old with other areas crying for reinforcement. Maybe when we have a league or ucl titles and flush with cash and not sure where to spend then we can but not absolutely not now.
