Inspired by the guy who posts Scottish Football stuff he finds in charity shops (sorry, can't remember your name), I thought I'd post this 'Scottish Schools' FA Under 13 Shield Final' programme from 2013. Graeme High School (Falkirk) played Broughton High School (Edinburgh) at Tynecastle.

At the time, I was a teacher at Graeme High School. My main memory of the game is that it the game was played on a full size pitch, they really seemed tiny and as a result everything was long ball and I remember the players were knackered after about 25 minutes. If I remember correctly, they normally played on 3/4 size pitches but with this being a final it was played at Tynecastle.

Both school were (and still are) 'SFA Football Academy' schools, which explains why they pretty much blasted through the previous rounds.

Broughton won 2-1 and I remember, even after all these years, their number 10 Gregor Woods being a standout, he was a "young Wayne Rooney" I enthusiastically noted, in both style and build.

So, where are they now? Well I googled them, so you don't have to…

The guys still involved in football (as far as I can tell) are:
Scott Banks is contacted to Bundesliga St. Pauli and is currently out on loan at Barnsley
Connor McBride is a regular starter at Rochdale in the National League
Andy McNeil is goalkeeper for Highland League Brechin
Jack Hodge is at Bo'Ness United. Transfermarkt says he was born in Brazil! No idea is that is correct?
Zac Butterworth is in the Lowland League with Caledonian Braves FC
Wilson Romainis plays East of Scotland with Kennoway Star Hearts FC
Daryl Meikle is non league at Blackburn United
Leah Eddie plays for Rangers Women's FC

Chris Peden is a listed on Transfermarkt with Vale of Leithen, but he isn't on their website
Cameron (Cammy) O'Donnell is a regular for League One Alloa
Chris Hamilton is on his way to Hampden with Dunfermline Athletic
Fynlay Connor is with Newtongrange Star in the East of Scotland League
Archie Roue is with Edinburgh United, also in the East of Scotland
Matthew Combe is listed as being with East of Scotland 1st Division
Craig Henderson is with Crossgates Primrose in the East of Scotland Premier Division

Gregor Woods is currently unattached, had spells with Hibs, Spartans and Musselburgh Athletic. I put this down to poor choices by the clubs involved, rather than my poor scouting skills.

Anthony McDonald played for Hearts and even ended up in Spain before rejoining with Craig Levein at Brechin. He has some injury issues though (repeated stress fractures in his back) so he didnt get much game time at us.
