One hat trick doesn’t leap him ahead of others straight in to the World Cup squad (which is the next England squad). Especially when it’s against Burnley.

Gibbs-White should be ahead of Foden.

Obviously I’m biased as a Forest fan but his performances this calendar year absolutely warrant being in the World Cup squad. Twelve goals this season, equal top-scoring Englishman and also level with the likes of Ekitike and Gyokeres. Without him we’d have far less chance of staying up – he’s been dragging us through the last few games.
If we’re picking on current form there’s no dispute at all – his is way better than Palmer, Foden and Bellingham and at least equal to Eze and Rogers.

White>Eze this season
No chance.
