“When you have so many open chances like we did against them, you have to put the ball in the back of the net and get away with the three points” Arteta on the game to BeIN Sports

  1. that’s why you take off only creative player and keep player with most goals on the bench 😎😎😎😎

    What else can he say?

Of our 3 strikers, one is washed up and can’t run, another is not a predatory finisher, the last can’t control a ball even if his life depended on it.

No matter on what, I hope for the good of this club that he is gone after the season.

1 billion spent , 15 million wages just to come up with conclusions like that.

honestly after a game like that, given its importance.

there is nothing he could have said that could have placated fans. Just STFU and say we weren’t good enough.

  6. City had more shots, more shots on target, more touches in the opponent’s box, more possession, the works. Unless and until all of them: Arteta, Ode, Rice – admit they’ve been playing cowardly, nothing can change. And that won’t happen unless and until our fanbase demands accountability. Alas, if you dare to criticise these uninspired performances, you are not a real fan.

From Champagne Stoke to Rich Man’s Tottenham, truly a season to remember.

  7. So when Eze does not track back that one time he drops names. But when Eze consistently carries our creativity in attack, is the biggest threat game in and game out and gets subbed even though he had the most potential to score he doesn’t? I’ve had enough

He should take it like the man he is and just congratulate city with yet another title !

For all his faults you cannot accuse Arteta of not being absolutely spot on in post-matches pressers all season.

Also a clear message to the higher-ups of what the team is missing

  10. We waited until we were down to start putting any pressure on, then we were so unlucky. If we don’t end up getting it over the line, it’s because of those games we didn’t put away and turned into draws, those games we were too pragmatic and ended up losing. I am not mad we lost to City, I am mad we did not manage games well throughout the season, and it’s now biting us in the ass.

We can still get it over the line, but we need goals now. Lots of them.

  11. He will go and sign another 50 million left back. I can’t handle this cringe feeling anymore

Yesterday was a prime example of how Arteta burning out out key players effected the run in.

I’ll take an example of Timber first and foremost. That guy was played to death in games that we win. Burnley away. Brentford at home. Leeds home and away. I get White may have been injured but why is Mosquera suddenly a RB against Man City but wasn’t trusted then?

Not digging out Mosquera but there’s no way City score that goal with Timber at RB.

Rice and Zubi. Yesterday they looked better but they’ve been absolutely gassed for weeks. Why weren’t Norgaard and MLS given minutes in midfield against teams you are going to dominate?

Arteta has many faults – too negative, too much talk, over thinking things but for me burning out our key players is his biggest flaw.

There’s one decision Mikel Arteta made yesterday that I still can’t understand.

Why take off Eberechi Eze for Leandro Trossard? Eze was our most dangerous player the one actually creating chances and getting shots on target.

The moment that substitution happened, I told my friend it felt like Arteta was working for Pep Guardiola 😔. At this point, it’s getting really hard to defend him anymore.

  14. Loser manager ! When you buy these average players that’s what you get! Take it like a man and leave the club at the end of the season

You signed every single one of them, and none of them can put it into the back of the net. That is entirely your fault Arteta. Gyokeres talents does not fit our play style. Havertz is a luck of the draw for a goal. And Jesus, he needs to be gone in the summer. Honestly we looked better with Merino at the 9.

We needed to play like this for the last 5 games, not only yesterday AND we need to play like this for the rest of the league if we want to win anything.

There’s a 19 year old Marseille player who is deadly in front of goal, he scored a banger against City last season, what’s his name again?

  18. Funny how he didn’t mention kai by name. When it was eze at anfield. Different story.
