>We do not need an end-of-season review to know this campaign has not been good enough in the league. We do not need one to tell us the team needs an overhaul or that last summer’s recruitment was a mess.
>What we are waiting for is to learn what happens to Howe. If the club believes Howe remains the right man to lead the rebuild, they should remove the doubt and say so. Everyone can get their heads around what that means and adjust their emotions accordingly.
I agree with this. The uncertainty isn’t helping anyone. He also mentions that the chairman will be attending a meeting in two weeks so a decision could be made there.
For the more controversial stuff, he wants supporters to be honest about Wissa and Woltemade:
>Neither of them can get in the team and the £125m spent on them is ammunition to hammer Howe with. They are not playing for a reason, so explain what that reason is. Will Osula is playing and scoring, so it should not be a source of constant criticism.

Does anyone else feel like the football we’ve been playing for the last year or so (with the exception of certain bigger games), we look exactly like the back end of the Pardew era?

Where has this narrative come from that Ross Wilson did a good job at Rangers?
Heard a couple of Howe in lot referencing this one reason to keep Howe for the summer, because Ross Wilson is going to turn around our fortunes.
Listening to this Rangers pod, doesn’t sound like he did a great job at all.
“The squad’s too big, the wage bill’s too big. Not enough quality in the squad. We should be getting more value for money. Ross Wilson is to blame for that.”

I know the mackems ultimately lost against villa but I can’t imagine even the wildly optimistic of our fans backing us to pull level at 3-1 down.
Knowing how bipolar our team is we will probably beat or draw Arsenal on Saturday. Half the team only shows up against Top 4 anyway
If Howe goes is nobody else concerned about who is in charge of the direction of the club? 3 corporate wankers in Hopkinson et al.
Actually liked bits of [Edwards’ latest article](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/04/20/uncertainty-over-eddie-howe-future-killing-newcastle/):
