There were several impressive performers for Manchester United as they beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Michael Carrick took pride from what he saw as Manchester United won 1-0 vs Chelsea in the capital.

Matheus Cunha scored the only goal of the game, assisted by captain Bruno Fernandes, who now has 18 assists in a single Premier League season.

In defence, Ayden Heaven was outstanding as the only natural centre-back. Noussair Mazraoui stepped in and impressed as his partner. Carrick also believes that Kobbie Mainoo played his best game of the season, so picking a Man of the Match proved to be difficult.

Once again, Fernandes’ performance was too good for United fans to ignore.

The 31-year-old added to his assist tally, taking him to just three away from the Premier League record.

But Carrick also highlighted Fernandes’ defensive display, with the United captain leading the press and also dropping into midfield to help out off the ball.

Ineos are looking to build around Fernandes, and United’s imminent qualification to the Champions League should help to convince him to stick around at Old Trafford.
