Arteta got it pretty much spot on today – gameplan worked, gave us the right to compete for the win, individual moments defined the result. But taking off Eze broke my brain. The only thing is if Eze was flagging fitness wise, which I don’t believe is the case but I guess we don’t always have that info

I would also like to point out to some of the fanbase here that before this shot, Eze had lost the ball several times, which allowed City pressure us consistently. We weren’t able to create that midfielder overload cuz he wasn’t offering much. One good shot off the post doesn’t mean he had a good game. Odegaard started horribly but grew into the game. Eze is a moments player. What we genuinely need is someone who can control and dominate and create consistently, break lines. We need runners in the middle. Dribblers.

I think he should have stayed on but let’s not forget he was having a stinker of a game. Cost as the first goal by being weak twice and caught in possession a few more times in dangerous areas.
