Cucurella’s the only player on our team who I won’t hold it against if they force an exit. Abused by our own fans for his first year, but has been a completely irreplaceable component for every manager we’ve had since he joined. He’s getting older now, he needs to join a serious club if he wants some accolades to his career.

I know I’m going to be massively downvoted for this, but I think he has to be the most overrated player in the squad.
He basically plays as a number 10 for us, but contributes next to nothing offensively. 90% of the time when he gets the ball he immediately passes it backwards to whoever game it to him.
How often do we concede on the counter where we see him sprinting back 50 yards out of position in the background
Hell look at the goal conceded yesterday. Garnacho was rightfully criticised for his part, but I’ve seen no criticism for Cucurella. Again he was caught out of position and then when running back he was protecting the outside rather than the inside.
