Spanish society seems to care little about punishing racism. Not that the English are much better, but at least they’re better at these measures which aren’t even the bare minimum imo.

because Spain is much, much less progressive when it comes to racism rooted in society than the UK ever was. a result of francoist fascists being in power until the late ’70s. many people don’t realize this when they speak of Spain, 50 years ago it was still a soft dictatorship.
