  1. Controversial opinion but heaven is currently better than yoro. Both of them have high ceilings though and should be our future centre backs. Maguire and Martinez are a great pair to learn from but we need one more centre back coz Martinez is just too injury prone.

Hold on what the hell happened to de ligt. Any updates?

  2. For me, Ayden has to be in the starting 11 in every game, even when Harry, Licha, and De Ligt are all available

He looks good. I do still see a lot of raw attributes and naive choices. He is prone to a hero tackle which looks great but some clever attacker is going to bait him one of these days. Positioning needs a bit of work too, he could easily have boxed out Delap.

the athleticism is impressive, the passing a real plus and seems to have that aggression already.

but he did, has and will make mistakes. we just need to be ready to support him when those come.

it’s very rare for players at this level in that position at that age. and we have two of them. it’s an investment in the future that I expect to pay off.

Kudos to whoever did the deal to get Ayden. Wouldn’t have been hard to scout; players that good or with that potential would usually be on the radars of good scouts but one million is outrageous unless he doesn’t fulfil his potential.

One million would’ve been a great deal 20 years ago, let alone today.

Seems to have the personality to match: not egotistical and grounded – unlike a certain Argentine number 49 in Chelsea’s team last night.
