Northampton sat comfortably in the top half of the division in December, but it’s been a disastrous period which saw Kevin Nolan lose his job in March after just one win in 16 games.
He was replaced by technical director Colin Calderwood, who took caretaker charge but results only worsened, with the Cobblers losing every match since the managerial switch.

The skillful winger was an important part of the the Blues’ squad which won promotion from League One in 2022/23.
Overall, Edwards featured 63 times for Ipswich, scoring three goals after joining from West Brom on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
He left Portman Road in January 2024 to link-up with Oxford United, having initially spent time on loan at the U’s from Town.
Edwards had an injury-hit spell at the Kassam Stadium, before spending the second half of last season at Stevenage.
