Although he rejected the first offer, he has asked his agent to continue negotiating with the club to try and reach an agreement.

Barça offered him a one-year renewal with an additional year if certain conditions are met but with a significant salary reduction considering that his previous salary was pretty high because he arrived on a free transfer and also considering his injury history.

Christensen's current contract ends in June and even though he has been free to negotiate with other clubs since January, he has prioritised continuing at Barcelona, and the club also made a renewal offer to reward his loyalty.

Teams from the Premier League, Bundesliga, Seria A and even two from La Liga are interested in signing him but despite Barça's reduced offer he hopes to stay.

Christensen is a player highly regarded by Hansi Flick for his quality, versatility, and experience, but the club will only consider him staying if he accepts significantly lower terms than he was previously earning. At the moment, there is no agreement.

  1. Oh look, his wages freed up mean Senesi slots in perfectly without an extra dollar spent

He should definitely Renew. He’s free. Idk why people are so hard on him.

That’s fine let him go. Thanks for your services Chrissy boii, would have been better if we would have gotten few million from selling him but oh well let him go on free

  4. He is very good when he plays… but that’s the problem. He barely plays. Guy has a body made of crystal. A shame but we shouldn’t waste resources on players that can’t stay fit.

  5. So he wants a higher salary when he hardly plays. Pretty sure our offer had conditions on playing time. It’s time for us to part ways.
