Look at all that space on the left side that Bergvall had to pass into before Xavi swoops in and goes right to Gray

Lmao you can do these after the fact all day long he doesn’t have 360 vision

  2. It was a bit of a boken play at this point pinballing around, but I do think Xavi in his state shoulda been leaving it to others.

Man at this point I can’t complain. You could always pick moments where a player should have done something different, but no one’s perfect and as a whole, this was a good performance. Especially relative to how we’ve been playing.

  4. I’m glad Xavi has the drive, cramps and all, to want the ball there to make it happen but he should’ve absolutely let Bergvall run with that.

  5. No way in fuck Danso is scoring that, and it was a broken play. Everyone is just going for the ball trying to make something happen.

Can’t blame Xavi for wanting the ball there – he was in a desperation mode at the end and was having a good game.

But prior to that Bergvall had 2-3 seconds to make a decision and he just stood there

Commenting on any way that Xavi messed up is ridiculous. The guy left every ounce of himself on that pitch.

  8. Xavi is a glory hog unfortunately, he scored a belter and came good that time but quite a few times he picks the selfish choice, this one eventually got released to Gray but like others are pointing out, the priority for him was having the ball himself to find an angle to shoot, he could see the headlines.

  9. Considering the criticism coming into today was his decision making wasn’t fast enough I’m glad he made it quickly even if it’s arguably the wrong one. Also not for nothing but that was a decent shot gray got. He just made nothing of it.

  10. Can’t complain at Xavi, best player by a mile and gave his absolute all today. Deserved to be on the winning side. What this shows us all is that the fact hes not been able to consistently start has been a travesty by every manager

  11. The differences between staying up and going down are the finite details here, it’s so fucking frustrating

  12. This was fucking infuriating, i can’t really blame Xavi though, because in that position he technically doesn’t really do anything wrong. It’s just our typical luck the ball doesn’t break the way we need it in the right moment.
