Andrew Telling, of Orange Planet Pictures, is travelling to Ukraine to document the work of the animal welfare charity NOWZAD, which is operating in the country despite the ongoing war with Russia.
He will be joined by actor and animal activist Peter Egan.
Mr Telling said: “This is an incredibly important story to tell.
“The impact of war goes far beyond people — it affects every living thing.
“What NOWZAD is doing under such extreme conditions is nothing short of remarkable, and we hope this film will help bring global attention and support to their mission.”

The pair have previously worked together on projects highlighting animal cruelty and rescue efforts around the world, including campaigns against the dog meat trade in Indonesia and the rescue of brown bears in Romania.
Their latest collaboration will capture what has been described as their “most perilous trip yet.”
The documentary will focus on the charity’s Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) programme in Ukraine.
It will highlight the challenges faced by NOWZAD staff, including founder Pen Farthing, as they attempt to manage stray animal populations in areas where infrastructure has collapsed and communities have been displaced.
Due to the ongoing conflict, the charity has repurposed a UK ambulance into a mobile veterinary unit to reach animals in remote and dangerous areas.
This service delivers treatment and care in places where fixed facilities are no longer operational.
Despite the risks, NOWZAD reports that thousands of animals have received sterilisation, vaccinations, and emergency care thanks to the mobile missions.
For security reasons, full details of the documentary have not been disclosed.
The filmmakers hope the project will raise global awareness and generate vital funding for NOWZAD’s continued work in Ukraine.
