  1. Especially when they’ve led for so long and have finished 2nd so many times. But I bet if they bottle their fans will excuse it by saying city are just too good even though they haven’t been for most of this seaosn.

  2. *They do and would deserve it.*

*Glasses up for the best quad in EPL history.*

    *hip hip…*

  3. It’s not a failure as a one off, but 4 in a row, losing to not one by two different teams, certainly would be

1st time we had major injuries and no depth. 2nd time was a hard fought title race to the wire. 3rd was poor transfer businesses, and major injuries.

But this year, there can be no excuse. We have the depth. We have the players. We had the spending. Go kick it in that goal, keep it out of that goal, and win.

  4. Most crticised runners-up in history? Not sure about that, pretty sure SAF still living rent free in Keegan’s head

In English football history, no team has ever been runner up 4 consecutive years boy that would be an unwanted record

For arsenal, they will be hoping history repeats itself after being runner up in 1999,2000,2001

    They were champions in 2002

Simeone has been a cuck for 10+ years with 2 trophies and is hailed a hero and incredible manager. Why is Arteta different and held to a different standard?

    It’s a failure, sure.

But you need context. Arsenal are currently playing without saka, merino, cala, and havertz is barely fit. Injuries have wrecked us again.

  8. I mean, would some of that criticism also be due to the type of football they have been playing this season?

Pretty sure Man City finishing second would be the biggest failure. Arsenal only have 80% of City’s wage bill, they bought two top players in January and have Pep Guardiola. Racked up 115 charges to build their squad. Not suffered as many critical injuries as us this season. Arteta’s doing a fantastic job 1st or 2nd.

  10. They’ve been allowed to cheat at set pieces all season. It’s on the refs as much as anything else.
