Nottingham Forest are in the Europa League semi-finals.
Few would’ve predicted that at some stages of the season, as Nottingham Forest have really struggled in the Premier League.
But Vitor Pereira has instilled enough belief in this team to defeat a very strong Porto side across two legs.
Phew… what did you make of that Forest fans! 😅
Speaking post-match, the matchwinner Morgan Gibbs-White made a very bold statement which certainly reinforces that notion.

Gibbs-White spoke to TNT Sports after the Porto win and appeared to suggest that the players already have one eye on Istanbul.
“An incredible night at the City Ground,” the England 26-year-old stated.
“We knew it was going to be difficult. We got fortunate with them going down to ten men after five minutes. But this is what this club deserves.
🔢How many points do Forest take from this run of fixtures…
“This is one of the best nights I’ve had at the club. We had the task at the start of the season to take this competition full on. We’ve done that.
“The fans have been chanting for Istanbul four games ago. Their expectations are really high and so are ours.
“We’ll take it game by game, but we have the Premier League to deal with first.”
Clearly, the Forest dressing room have a newfound confidence post the Sean Dyche era, as they’re speaking with much more belief in the media.
They aren’t downplaying expectations, and that approach is evidently working.
A challenging semi-final clash against Aston Villa awaits, so there’s certainly a long way to go before the Istanbul dream is a reality.
