Is that real? I don’t get the significance of the date 1890 or 1891 and the whole thing just seems a bit off.

They’re probably just forcing a laugh because losing to us is like their own personal apocalypse and they’re trying to cope with the fact that they’re playing woefully average and could absolutely lose to us.
