Sean Walsh, 51 of The Pastures in Rushmere St Andrew, was charged with going onto the playing area at Carrow Road following Ipswich Town’s 2-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday, April 11.

Town ran out 2-0 winners over their rivals, thanks to goals from Jaden Philogene and George Hirst, earning the Tractor Boys their first win at Carrow Road in 20 years.

This was also Town’s first double over their Norfolk neighbours in 33 years, having beaten them earlier in the season at Portman Road.

Walsh ran onto the pitch during the celebrations between the fans and the players and was seen hugging midfielder Azor Matusiwa before being pushed away by Leif Davis and stewards taking him out of the stadium.

He was bailed and is to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on June 11, 2026.
