Great presentation of data… shows how the whole
League has shifted to a more patient slower approach it seems…

It’s getting harder and harder to score against PL teams. My concern is that we have regressed since the start of the season.
I remember the away game at Sunderland, although we drew the game, we were so much more potent attacking wise. We got in our spaces easily and kept pushing to win the game. I don’t see that in the last month or two.

That Liverpool drop off is crazy even more so when you consider how far ahead they were of every other team last season

Yeah but apparently it was Arsenal who brought about this trend, or some crap like that

Yea! More cherry picking of data to hide Mikel’s flaws.

The counterargument is the league is a copy cat league and we are the trendsetters.
Additionally, if you split open play xg by first half of the season vs second we have really struggled.
As an Arsenal fan this isn’t a complaint (the first at least). The players are paid to win. Being entertaining is a nice to have thing, not necessary.

I would love to share this with other fans but that logo on the top right means they won’t care

But don’t you get it. Arsenal ruined football first so everyone copied!!! /s

City’s has gone up recently. Over the course of the season it’s down but since Feb it’s gone up. And especially over the last month, he plays a 4-1-4-1 formation now and is bagging goals for fun and looks the best in the league.
Everyone else has it wrong, City clocked onto the best formula recently. We should’ve done business in Jan to bring in technical player/s to give us open play xg by attacking quicker in transition and executing riskier but highly beneficial passes.

They can cry as much as they want as long as we win it. They are acting like we are the first defensive team in history to win it. A lot of young fans but the older ones should know better

We are not running anything, but we sure are tough to watch

None of this matters. A large majority of the fanbase will turn on Arteta and Arsenal if we don’t win at city.

Yeah the PL is a shell of what it once was. The matches are dogshit and it is Pep’s fault

I personally feel like it’s because of the sloppy refereeing and allowing teams to kick each other around more than previous seasons.
Games have been rough – which means players get injured more and defenses are tougher to breakdown.

Show that to all the asshole football writers. Maybe they will apolgize if we win something? /s.

It’s been a poor year entertainment wise for the league, most teams are considered to be doing badly or in a transition and we have led the league for most of it so we are labelled the poster child of what is happening to the league for the lazy narrative as most teams “copy” the leader.
