I mean Liverpool are in the same situation especially when thr CF they signed from Newcastle doesn’t play or looks awful.

  2. Same for a lot of clubs. There’s about 1 good striker for every 5 clubs that want a good striker.

Newcastle and Howe have really gone backwards. The signings have truly been an absolute disaster. Elanga is a speed merchant with no real quality. Wissa and Ramsey look like they’ve completely lost interest in the game. Nick Woltamade has been totally shafted by Howe and his tactics.

Imagine a world where they sold us Isak earlier in the window and actually got ekitike, really shot themselves in the foot on that one.

  5. As a Brentford fan, I won’t pretend the Wissa drop off hasn’t been gloriously cathartic, however I’m sure he’ll be stronger after a full pre-season. One where he isn’t throwing his toys out of the pram.

Also quite like Woltemade. I think more patience is needed with him.

A lot of negative reactions here, when Wissa has been injured and Woltemade is very young and shown great promise. It’s not like Newcastle were ever *that* much better than the other teams fighting for 6-10th place

  7. A club actually spent 55 mil on Anthony Elanga and only NOW we’re questioning their recruitment. Jeez.

Here me out, they could try playing their main striker as a striker and get a midfielder to replace his makeshift role?
