Supporters sitting in either Sir Bobby Robson or Sir Alf Ramsey Stands will pay an extra 12%. For an adult sitting in the lower tiers behind the goals, that represents a £50 rise (£419 to £469).

And fans who sit in either the West Stand or the Cobbold Stand face a 14% hike. An adult who sits near the halfway line, for example, will see their price rise by £92 (£655 to £747).

It follows on from an average rise of 10% last summer following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

Prices for U12s do, however, remain frozen.

Ipswich Town capped season ticket sales at 20,500 for this campaign and, in October, announced a season ticket waiting list that quickly had 6,000 sign-ups.

The average attendance at Portman Road for league games this season has been 28,174. In November, chairman/chief executive Mark Ashton revealed there had been ‘a 10-12% no show rate with season ticket holders’ and that new rules would be put in place to stop that.

Kieran McKenna’s men are currently second in the Championship table with five games to go, with it uncertain as to whether they will secure an instant return to the Premier League.

An adult season ticket holder in the lower tiers behind the goals currently pays £18.22 per game in the Championship. That would jump to £24.68 should they renew and get 19 games in the Premier League – a 35% increase.

Ipswich Town’s latest set of accounts showed that the club brought in £11.2m of revenue from ticket sales during their 24/25 Premier League campaign. That’s less than the £11.7m paid to agents over the course of this current campaign.

The club’s US owners have been investing heavily in a new multi-million pound training ground, numerous stadium improvements, plus transfers fees and player wages.

Current season ticket holders have until 5pm on Friday, May 1 to lock in their renewal.

Should they do so, they will have access to a resale platform that enables them to get money back for games they can’t attend, priority for purchasing away tickets and cup tickets, an interest free payment plan, free access to U21 games at Portman Road and reduced prices for ITFC Women’s games.
