Expected but still sad. Wonder if he will have a similar exit to kdb in terms of a farewell at the etihad

  2. The glue that let so many iterations of City thrive. The RW, Metronome, defensive rock, shithouse, captain, clown.

My favourite on pitch moment of his will always be that dribble against Liverpool. Off pitch, well the guard of honour of course. Might not have the love of KDB or David, but he is a legend in my eyes.

Damn ! I think for me it is as sad as KDB leaving. ☹️ It was a privilege to watch him play in City colours. What a player. 🫡 All the best to our Portuguese wizard.

He will always be one of my favourite footballers ever. Thank you for everything Bernardo!

  5. My fav player of the Guardiola era. Would run through a brick wall for the club. And was always available for every game of every season, and covered every blade of the pitch. Tactically versatile and technically proficient enough to play pretty much any position on the pitch. We truly cannot replace him. This one makes me sad in ways no other player’s departure has.

Hopefully we can win the league and the FA Cup this season and give an amazing farewell to our captain.

  6. One of my favorites from the Pep era, plays with so much passion and is so versatile for such a small player. From the club videos too, Bernardo plays a massive role in the dressing room and in training, and has for a long time

  7. Norhing but love for him❤️

Not only was he brilliant player both on and off the ball, but he also truly loved the club and understood our culture and community in a way that not many footballers do.

Truly an unsung hero and a club great.

Every summer there was all the rumours of him leaving yet he never once dropped his standards and has been the single hardest working player at the club whilst being here, with the technique to compliment it too.

*Is it sacrilegious to say this hurts me more than when Aguero left?*

Outside of Kevin, Bernie is my favourite player in this recent era of the club. Best attacking defender we’ll ever see, he’s going to be missed.

Saying goodbye by lifting the trophy on May 24… Nothing would make me happier!
