  1. Instill a training approach that “should lead to fewer injuries.” Instead have nothing but devastating injuries in key areas as well as an overall drop in performance and stamina in the entire squad.

  2. Poor Hugo he must be devastated, wish him the best for his recovery. I don’t know what’s going on in training but this season many of our players don’t seem seem as fit as previous seasons and more injury prone.

  3. Wirtz and Salah behind Isak it is then. On paper, last year, that would have looked like an absolutely incredible attack

They’re still waiting on scans? When Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles last year, they had him in surgery within 10 hours of the injury to help minimize swelling and increase recovery time. Surely the club has enough money to avoid NHS wait times

Terrible luck this season for injuries. I feel bad for the lad – he had a great first season with us and one of our best players so far. Fingers crossed he comes back stronger. Don’t expect to see him until next year now

Oh fuck me, a ruptured achilles has ended careers before now. Even if it doesn’t, there’s a chance he’ll never be quite the same.

Fingers crossed it’s not and he’s back to fitness in within a year.

Ive written this season off moons ago, but this is a major problem for next season. He wont be back till 2027, which means we will have Isak as the only 9 (and Gakpo at a stretch) with Mo gone.

We need several forwards in the summer, wide forwards and another striker.

  8. And now we will overplay Isak and he will probably get reinjured. I genuinely think we are terrible for reinjuries. Danns got a hammy injury when he came back.

  9. He’ll never be the same player and that’s what pisses me off the most. When players are gone for awhile you at least hope when they get back at least they are back and the player they were before. With this injury… this could be career altering

Scary that he might not be the same again. Seen it with a few players down the years. Hudson odoi took a good few years to get to a decent level again

  11. When he was on the ground he was pasty white, the shock had already set in. That told everything without knowing what exactly the injury was.

  12. People won’t like this but the odds of him coming back as the same player are not great.

A player never stays the same player and move the same way after that injury and it has been proven countless times in football also. If he actually ruptured his achilles then its a career altering one.

Please sell Gakpo to Bayern or elsewhere and get Gordon in, can play across the front line and would give his all for the club.

  15. Catastrophic injury. It’ll be months when he’ll be fully fit even after he heals. Thats assuming he’ll even be 100 percent

This seems like a much bigger problem for next season than this season. We now need another forward/wide player again

When I tore major ligaments in my ankle it literally took a consultant surgeon seconds to determine I’d not ruptured my Achilles. He felt around that area and said ‘Good news your Achilles is in tact.’ So I’d think he already knows and the scan will be to confirm and show any other issues. This is absolutely gutting.

  18. Isak, Ekitike, Endo, Leoni and Bradley. Five long term injuries in less than 9 months fuck me

This is so heartbreaking. I still have a blank jersey because I wanted to get Ekitike at the beginning of the season but couldn’t because they were out of Ks, he was so popular.

My favorite player this year and I and we all will stay behind him cuz yeah this injury is a really hard one

Hugo was one of the best players this season for us.. wishing him a speedy recovery and come back stronger… fortunately all our players came strong from a long term injury and hope the same with this lad.
