By minute 20 Pedri lost the ball stupidly multiple times resulting in counters. Those possession losses were avoidable. But instead of getting his shit together and stop holding the ball and spinning stupidly he kept doing it until it resulted in a red. Flick shouldve benched him in the second half.. Poor Garcia got red carded after playing one of his best games as a center back. Sure you can say he was tired but it doesnt give him a pass. I just hope he stops doing this shit in the future.

he was so bad yestarday and has been very poor in the last few games. very dissapointing

Gerard Martin breaks the offside trap and doesnt cover the pass to Sorloth either, so more big mistakes here.

  3. Bernal injured,

    FDJ recovered recently from injury,

Casado ain’t that much effective against AM,

Fermin, Olmo, Gavi all are already playing and have different roles

Who else we have in CM to make the progressive passes ?

  4. He was weak, yeah. He needs a long rest imo. He shouldnt play once we have secured la liga.

  5. Aside from the Barca mistakes, look at Sorloth looking at the ref like “where’s my red card?” Lmao what a little bitch

Had to go back about an hour to “prove” some bs connection to that play 🤣🤡

  7. One bad game and you all are hating him? Remember last semi when yamal tried to shoot instead of wasting time and we got scored on while pedri was telling him to pass back? Cmon guys we are bigger than this!!

Yeah he lost the ball. Didnt have the best game. But there was plenty time to recover and position better.

  9. Looks like Pedri is running out of gas and can’t blame him with that work rate. Man needs his rest.

  10. Bro needs rest. He’s also gonna play world cup. He’ll be exhausted when next season starts.

  11. the play was reset, problem was the blind ball chasing to recover not the giveaway…

Well this is what we were afraid of. The amount of games and minutes he has played, it was not unexpected.

Look at Eric’s position and Gerrard’s position – that is the issue not Pedri losing the ball.

Gerrard Martin is tracking back when he should be stepping up. Similarly, Eric should have noticed that Gerrard is too deep and step back to track Sorloth’s run.

Gerrard’s back is turned so he cannot see where the defensive line – hence he should not be stepping backwards. He should be stepping towards the player to force the pass.

Not only that but Pedri was unusually sloppy yesterday.. Havent checked the stats but the amount of dispossessions and misplaced passes seemed well above his usual insane level. He is probably knackered physically

  15. Yeah, I never thought I would say this but I think Pedri was our worst player yesterday. De Jong should have come in for him at half time. Something has been off with Pedri ever since he returned from injury.

  16. I swear Pedri is playing this bad because he’s afraid to get injured before the world cup

  17. Pedri didn’t have a great match I agree, but to say his mistake led to the red is very dishonest, they had the ball at their defense. Maybe look at whatever Martin is doing in this clip, he completely fell asleep.

We know what Pedri is capable of. He’s just in a slump right now. Hopefully after the WC, Hansi rotates and eases him in gradually for next season.

  19. Pedri was doing too much yesterday and held the ball way too long. Felt like he was stuck in mud with every touch.

Losing the ball was bad. But again, just like their first goal. Look at how the team reacts. Look at how they press, without any sort of coordination. Pedri jumps his line and forgets about his mark. He instead choses to press their fullback, who was already being pressed by Rashford. Llorente is alone and is allowed to turn and look for an easy pass. The team needs to learn how to press. Sometimes you can’t just go all out. That works if the opponent is locked inside their own box.

  21. Pedri spends his extra energy sprinting to the ref to complain about something he was not involved in…

You must be insane to call it “gift” , look at the number of AM players surrounding him and continuesly fouling him, ref didn’t bother to protect him even after getting pushed, shoved, kicked multiple time.

I understand the criticism after a crushing defeat but we need to stop behaving like our players didn’t give it their all or they did things “intentionally”

  23. I also think that some of the players were lingering too long on the ball. Just pass it there is no need to dribble past 2 or 3 players. Playing it safe and looking for better opportunities is also good

What the fuck was Martin doing? Killing the offside trap and not staying tight with Sorloth. Fucksake

  25. well his level is really falling down lately probably because of our playstyle and him being exhausted
but yeah he was bad by his standard in both Atleti matches
