Marco Silva has firmly established his team as a competitive and reliable Premier League side, with ambitions that are gradually growing beyond mere survival. Their ability to challenge even against the more elite has not gone unnoticed. However, while Fulham continues to evolve, stay competitive, structured, and capable of strong performances, the Cottagers are still vulnerable to inconsistency.

At home, Fulham struggled to impose themselves against West Ham’s direct, physical approach and were ultimately undone by a costly error. It was a performance that showed control without any significant cutting edge, a recurring pattern the Cottagers have endured, which has seen them lose valuable points and give up on missed opportunities.

Against Southampton in the FA Cup, Silva’s side faced a disappointing cup exit that highlighted their attacking limitations on the day. Returning to league action, Fulham took on Nottingham at the City Ground in a tightly contested and cagey encounter. Having shared the spoils with Forest after a goalless draw, it was another example of points left on the table.

Back at Craven Cottage, Fulham needed to dust themselves off as Burnley arrived with ambitions of their own. With three crucial points on the line, the Clarets struck first, but a strong second-half performance sealed the win for the Cottagers. Recently, taking on Liverpool at Anfield was no easy feat, and after succumbing to defeat, Silva’s side will be determined to take points off Brentford.
