Appeal it, make them explain it

Edit** and request they release the audio of the review and ideally the audio of DCL crying to ref to have them look at it

After Carrick and Bruno’s post match they’re probably going to do nothing and give us a fine instead. Rats.

  3. What’s the downside to appealing a 3 match ban? How many games does it get upgraded to if the appeal is rejected?

  4. and then they will fuck us over at stamford bridge as well like they did in this one

  5. What I hated most was that the VAR screen was preloaded with a screenshot that made it look awful, so this is the first thing the ref sees rather than the replay. It’s pure manipulation

it’s the complete lack of context that is the issue.

look, I can see that there will be times that pulling hair is violent conduct. but this isn’t one of those.

you could perhaps have it as two punishments.

really aggressive pull, violent conduct. something less aggressive, unsporting conduct and a yellow?

in the same way that a referee can make a judgement about a tackle and the force etc, this gives discretion.

there’s no discretion at the moment. hair pull = red card fit violent conduct.

Forearm smashed the head. No Foul
Brush the hair . Red card 3 game ban.
    UTTER WOKE NONSENSE

  8. They should appeal, the decision was a joke

That said there is no way they overturn it

Right decision to appeal. Foul? Sure. Booking? Ok. No way that is a straight red.

  10. Straight red on a hair pull is a bit nuts considering you can get away with some pretty cheeky stuff if you are coy and not the last man.

  11. They’ll tell us to fuck off and tack an extra game on for our cheek. That’s the scousers at home he’ll miss even as it is.

Could see us losing all our next 3 tbh.

It was stupid imo. Looking at the footage Martinez was grabbing for the shirt, but the other guys hair was down past the shirt line. As soon as he felt hair he released but that was enough.

I get hair pulling being violent conduct, but there has to be rules around that too. Otherwise every player would have long flowing locks down to their arse.

I think if the hair is below the shirt line when the hairpulling takes place then it should be a yellow at most. Red cards should be for the most sever offences, and when it comes to hair pulling it should be literally when someone grabs someone by the hair, not when a normal shirt pull has hair in the way.

  13. Licha was just feeling how silky soft his hair was. I dont see what the problem was?

  14. Does it matter.. let the clown think twice next time he wants to behave like a girl when we are 2 goals down at home

  15. Please tell Mbeumo to grow some hair so the opponents can get a red for “violent conduct”.

  16. Don’t worry, Howard Webb will be wheeled out again, say sorry and that they must do better and it’ll all be forgotten until next week when it happens again.

PGMOL police themselves, expect nothing but incompetency from those cunts.

  17. Tears. The scum were beaten in their own back yard. Pity you couldn’t muster a performance together until he got sent off. He might not have felt the need to do it then.

Banter aside, refereeing across the whole season has been a joke, every club has had to deal with it.

And fair play to you for pulling a reasonable season out of the hat, nobody saw that coming starting the season with Amorim.

  18. I don’t agree with a red card, but I can’t believe so many claim it was an accident. It looked completely intentional and I think a word from the referee and maybe a yellow would have sufficed.
