      We’ve had this issue for fucking years. Everyone has been screaming for some technical midfielders. A deep lying play maker. Some more technical 8s. But no let’s keep signing work horse 8s.

      I don’t trust our ownership to toast bread.

      Would rather play a kid than Gallagher. Dudes constantly a step off the pace and offers nothing in build up. On their goal he got passed by so damn easily

      I think Arsenal would have a title by now if they kept Xhaka over rice.

      There’s a reason their attack took a massive step back when he left. That guy ran the show for an 89 point team, then they let him go.

      Super underrated when not playing as a DM.

      Gray and Bergvall between them averaged a touch every THREE minutes.

      Can’t control a game of football if your midfield don’t like the ball.

      Palhinha, Gray and Xavi trio needs to be our main midfield.

      Bergvall is so fucking overrated by our fans, it’s insane. I swear this guy plays solo his own unknown game every match. Weak af, doesn’t track back, can’t create, doesn’t score. And somehow he is completely immune to the criticism — nobody has a problem with shitting on other players but somehow there is always a huge truck of excuses ready for him: he is rusty af, he is playing out of position, he is this, he is that. FFS

      I guess, he has some potential but currently he is massively detrimental for our play

      You can see it when watching the games. There is a huge hole in the middle of the pitch when we have the ball. So it always results it a half assed long ball that just gives the opponent the ball back.

      We need to have Xavi who can pick it up deep and progress it. It might stiffle him a bit. But at leasts he’s capable of transitioning the ball without hoofing it.

      I know people like Gray/Bergvall but we need to be starting Palhinha at the moment. He might not be the most technical midfielder but he puts a shift in defensively. Hopefully Bentancur is back soon too and we can play Bentancur/Palhinha alongside Gray/Sarr/Bergvall and Xavi in the 10.

      I didn’t even know Gallagher was playing….until the very end when he got called for a foul.

      This has always been our biggest issue. De Zerbi has to find a solution with what we have but I just don’t see an answer. How far off are Bissouma and Bentancur? Bit of experience with those 2 and Xavi in front?

      The midfield is the most important part of the team, when you neglect it you will definitely be puniished.

      Can someone explain to me what they think this means? Genuinely looking for an answer, because gray and bergy are rated fairly highly. Is it how they’re being utilized and coached or are they that bad? Are they good for their age but pretty shit in real terms?

      No excuse for this. No passion, no drive, pulling out of tackles because they don’t want to jeopardise a summer transfer away. Post should have been given another summer to clear this shite out of the club.
