The Shrimps were officially relegated from the fifth-tier after a 5-1 defeat at Woking over the weekend.
It was always going to be a tough campaign for the Lancashire side, who have had a tumultuous few years on and off the pitch, including a takeover saga, change of management and a large churn of players.

Edwards has been with Morecambe since January 2024 and has been a regular for the Shrimps this campaign, playing under Ashvir Singh Johal, before he left by mutual consent in January.
He was replaced by former boss Jim Bentley, but he was unable to prevent them from their third relegation in four seasons dropping from League One to the regional National League North for the first time since 1995.
The Welshman made 108 appearances and scored 14 goals during his time at Portman Road.
